Stories Behind the Shots

When I was a kid, treasure hunting was my game. I collected rocks and keys and pieces of jewelry in hopes that one day I would come upon something valuable. I would hide away in my tree and daydream of all my adventures. I would bury rocks and make treasure maps to practice for when I might need to hide a real treasure one day. I grew up in the 80's, so I watched movies like Clash of the Titans, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Goonies. I was in 7th grade when I first saw Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The theater was packed and I was on the first row, but two hours of looking straight up was worth every minute of adventure I got to take in.

It is now the 21st century and the 80's are long gone, but something about that explorer has never subsided. "I wonder...' and 'what if...' are my best friends. They led me to do some pretty awesome things in the worlds of art, culture, and travel.

My latest exploration is Oklahoma Outdoor Photography. Hidden treasure is all around me and I mean to capture its beauty and put it on display for all to see. This blog is an invitation to join me in my treasure hunts. We will explore photos, locations, methods, and stories behind the moments. I'd love to hear your what you think and share some of your own stories.
