I Get by with a Little Help From My Friends
Since my first shot of the February Blood Moon, I have acquired some good advice and much more practice. One key element to shooting the best moon photos possible is to use a tripod. I have a Nikon Coolpix B500. A friend of mine said I could sync the camera with my phone for hands free shots...and he was right! Any little bump and the image blurred ever so slightly, but not anymore. I also have an app on my phone called SnapBridge. If you have a Nikon Coolpix, you might want to get that app too. It makes it possible to download the images from the camera to the phone via bluetooth. I'm still learning all of the features so that's all I will say about it for now. These pictures are from the moon in July of 2018. I am using a tripod at this point. The quality has improved significantly and my little Nikon Coolpix has proven to be a better camera than I ever expected!
