Our Morels Have All Gone

I enjoyed my first mushroom hunt so much that I asked Keith if I could go with him again. He likes me so he said I could come. :) It turns out this was the last of the morel mushroom season. I didn't realize they don't grow every time after a rain, only for a season and that season is the end of March through April. We found a few, not near as many as last time, and a few other really pretty things. See some of the shots I took below. They were captured with a Canon EOS M50.

This was a small log covered in moss.

A very odd insect.

Don't eat these! They are mushrooms but not the edible kind.

Our beloved and yummy morel mushroom.

The monarchs were having a great day in the sun!
